Mockup
We probably both agreed that a mock-up is necessary. A mock-up is a loose blueprint created in a design program, I will use this to begin developing your website. Often times a mock-up will cover a few of the main pages in your site so that you are able to get a good idea of how your website will look and act. As with any blueprint there will be room for change, nothing is set in stone and I encourage you to openly deliver your feedback. Once we have a good mock-up created I will move on to the actual development phase.
Development
This is were I begin taking that “rough draft” and turning it into a real working website, clickable links and all. During this time it will not be necessary for you to get to involved, you will need to have confidence that I am doing my best to make it look and feel just like the blueprint we created.
The Tour
Once I have reached a point where I feel things are pretty close to being done I will bring you in and give you a virtual tour of your new “web home”. Luckily for us building a website, unlike building a home allows us to easily patch a doorway you wish wasn’t there and create a doorway where you wish there was one. This is the fine tuning stage.
Learning to use your new website.
I believe in creating websites that are usable and functional for both you and your customer. Part of the final process in creating your new website id learning how to use it, and I will walk you through the steps.
After we are done.
So you are happy with the product and you are more than happy to pay for it. So we are done right? No, think of me as your on call architect. Included in you price I offer 1 month of free maintenance for any minor bugs or content changes. Beyond that the answer is yes, we may need to discuss a price for any future upgrades, maintenance or design changes but who better to take control of those upgrades and maintenance than the guy who built it in the first place. If you need me in the future I will be there.
